Why a tile-only crew

Why AC Tile Remodeling Only Does Tile

AC Tile Remodeling has installed tile across Philadelphia for five years, and tile is the only thing we do. Most remodeling companies treat tile as one line on a longer estimate. We built the business the other way around, so the crew that looks at your shower, floor or backsplash before the estimate is the same crew that sets the tile.

That shows up in the parts you never see — the substrate we check before quoting, the membrane that runs continuously instead of patching the wet spots, the layout planned before the first cut so the pattern lands right at the corners.

  • Tile is the whole business
  • Same crew from start to finish
  • Substrate checked before quoting
  • Waterproofing never an upgrade
  • Written estimate, no pressure
  • Straight answer when tile is not the fix

How we quote

We Would Rather Lose the Job Than Sell You the Wrong One

Cracked grout is the clearest example. Sometimes it is cosmetic and regrouting fixes it for good. Sometimes the grout is cracking because something behind it moves or is wet, and new grout would fail the same way within a year.

We tell you which situation you are in before you spend anything — including the times when the honest answer costs us the sale.

Tile only

What We Do Not Do

Being a tile-only crew also means being clear about what we are not. We do not do plumbing, electrical or cabinetry, and we do not run full bathroom or kitchen remodels. When a project needs those trades, we tell you before you hire us, and we work alongside your general contractor on the tile.

Plumbing and electrical

We do not move drains, valves or wiring. When your project needs that work, it comes from your general contractor, and we set the tile around it.

Cabinetry and full remodels

We do not install vanities or cabinets or run a whole bathroom or kitchen remodel. We do the tile part, and we say so before you hire us.

Frequently asked questions

AC Tile Remodeling FAQ

How long has AC Tile Remodeling been installing tile?

Five years. Tile has been the whole business from the start: showers, bathroom floors and walls, tub surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, floors and regrouting.

Is AC Tile Remodeling the same company as ACT Remodeling?

No. AC Tile Remodeling LLC is a separate company, based at 3434 Wellington St, Philadelphia, PA 19149, and reached at (267) 357-7482. If you found a similar name on Google, check the phone number before you call.

Do you do full bathroom or kitchen remodels?

No. We install tile — showers, bathroom floors and walls, tub surrounds, kitchen backsplashes and interior floors. We do not do plumbing, electrical or cabinetry, and we say so before you hire us.

What areas do you serve?

Philadelphia and the surrounding region, plus South Jersey. We are in Northeast Philadelphia, ten minutes from the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.

What is a person who installs tiles called?

A tile installer, also called a tile setter. It is a trade of its own: the job covers the substrate, the waterproofing, the layout and the grout, not only the tile you see. That is the only work our crew does.
